This section is dedicated to games across all major sports leagues (ones that I care about, at least) that I think are worth watching and betting on, in no particular order.

This Week’s Picks

Dog of the Week

Not often you can say this team is a 3-point underdog the way they have been playing this season, but for this week, they will count for the Dog of the Week pick: the Detroit Lions. I can’t say that I am shocked they are an underdog against a pretty solid Ravens squad in Baltimore, but with the way they have been playing on both sides of the ball, I refuse to bet against them.

Overs Only

There is no better feeling than hammering the over and tuning into an electric, offense-heavy game. Look no further than the game being played at Arrowhead this Sunday, where the Chargers visit the Chiefs. This game might not seem like obvious play for this week’s Overs Only pick, but history says otherwise. Here are the last 5 total score results between these teams: 57, 51, 62, 54, 59. Hard to argue with past results. Always a fiery offensive game between divisional rivals. Scorefest incoming. Hammer the over.

Favorite of the Week

I went back and forth on this one but ended up settling on Florida State at home against Duke. Not saying I’m overlooking the Duke defense, but I am. Given the fact that Duke starting QB Riley Leonard is either playing banged up or not playing entirely, this one doesn’t seem like a hard pick to me. Noles by a million.

Shameful Under

It never feels good to take an under. Some would even say it feels shameful. But, we do what needs to be done to fade Vegas, as we like to say. I’m turning my eyes to Columbus for the Penn State / Ohio State game. With Penn State sporting arguably the best defense in college football, hard to take anything other than under. Not to mention Ohio State’s defense is pretty good itself.
